Israel

I always say “If it isn’t a good time, it’s a good story.” I’m not sure if I made it up, or heard it somewhere and it was thence fore permanently embedded in my head, but it has become my personal travel mantra. Not everything about my trip to Israel and Palestine was inherently negative, but I wouldn’t describe most of my time there as “fun”. It was incredibly challenging to witness so much of what I have read about in person. If I had the choice of where to live, Israel and Palestine would not likely be my first choice. However, it was a valuable experience to add to my political education, and also a beautiful place to photograph. Below are some of the most significant things I saw there.
